Future Search The Method

Future Search Forum

October 14th - 17th, 2013

FORUM: A meeting or assembly for the open discussion of subjects of public interest. A public meeting place for open discussion — World English Dictionary

Future Search Network (FSN) is convening an historic international forum in Derry, Northern Ireland October 14 - 17, 2013 to address critical leadership issues that impact the world on a local, regional and global level. Bringing together formal & informal leaders, field consultants and supporters we will together develop a sharpened ability to deal with pressing issues that are of major public interest. While registration will be limited to 300 there are many ways to help shape the event before, during and after October 2013. What follows is a bit about why & how you can get involved. This world event will provide a positive deviation from traditional conferences — read on to know why and how to participate.

We will address issues from across the world as we explore the following concepts:
  • Understanding intricacy of multi-stakeholder challenges
  • Applying Future Search principles to complex issues
  • Experience of "Whole System in the Room" in specific situations
  • Leadership skills and resources to make the right decision
  • Opening up to and sustaining democratic dialogue for action
  • Engaging the right people who can impact real and lasting change
  • Collaborating for success

Together we will build a picture of how to better steward the world we live in, on the basis of real people and real circumstances and learn successful strategies from one another. Participants will drive the process as we ask;

What is happening in the world?

What are we doing about it?

How can we move forward?

We look forward to engaging with you in Derry,
