It doesn't matter whether you are in a community that has already decided to address poverty and create more prosperous conditions and just looking for a way to do that or whether you are an individual in a community, government, business, or philanthropic organization wishing to engage your community (or multiple communities) in such an effort, or just wish to get your organization's name associated with a meaningful social endeavor. There are many ways to participate.
- Become a community leader-champion--Are you willing to get your community engaged in creating a more prosperous future? If so, we will teach you how to engage large groups to reach common ground and we'll match you up with an experienced Future Search facilitator who will work with you to plan for and convene a Prosperous Community Future Search session.
- Become a corporate or public sector sponsor--Poverty affects every sector by reducing the number of vibrant producers and consumers needed to keep the local and national economies going. Many corporations are interested in giving back to their communities in some way and have learned that doing so returns to them in benefits to their bottom lines and their sense of civic responsibility. Knowing that every sector has a role in this systemic issue, PCPN is seeking sponsorships from multiple sectors and companies to demonstrate further that having the "whole system in the room" is needed to create prosperous conditions for all. We welcome any form of sponsorship (e.g. financial, technological, one-time or ongoing support, or other forms) and will provide visibility to the sponsor's organization for participating.
- Become a program advisory board member--PCPN would like to assemble a whole-system advisory board to assist us in further developing the program. We seek members from all walks of life from all sectors of society.
- Join the team of trained facilitators--The Future Search Network (FSN) has trained over 3000 people in the Future Search methodology worldwide. Becoming a Network facilitator means that you will have the benefits of FSN membership, as well as the opportunity to facilitate Prosperous Communities program conferences and other Future Search conferences.
- Sponsor your community's participation in PCPN--If you or your organization is in a position to provide financial support for your specific community to convene a Prosperous Community Future Search session and know of a community leader-champion who could provide local leadership for planning the session, contact us and we will work with you and your local colleagues to get you started in the program.
- Register as a potential local planning team member--Whether your community has a leader-champion ready to lead the local effort, you can submit your name as someone interested in participating on a planning team. We will attempt to make connections between local leaders who contact us and potential planning team members.
